Whittle Laboratory, University of Cambridge
Eve Waldron Design have been commissioned Cambridge University’s Department of Engineering to space plan and supply furniture for the new Whittle Laboratory.
Designed as an Integrated Technology Accelerator to bring together researchers, students, companies and entrepreneurs to work collaboratively towards a zero carbon future for aviation. The new purpose built facility will house the UK National Centre for Propulsion and Power, a centre for Doctoral Training, Rapid manufacture facilities, offices, flexible project rooms, seminar rooms, events spaces, make spaces and workshops.
Eve Waldron Design are working closely with the department to space planning all three floors of the new facility to meet the varied functional and performance requirements and create a look and feel that will both compliment the architecture and reflect the spirit of the project and character of the department.
